Relaxing in Mozirski Gaj
Last summer when we were on holidays we visited Gardens of Mozirski Gaj. The gardens were made from local artists and companies. And are really great place just to walk around gardens and relax.
The locals started to build gardens and plant first flowers in 1974. Fishing association made an artificial lake, association of gardeners of Slovenija planted and made an exhibition of many various flowers. They set up ethnographic objects that represent Slovenian history. So it’s not just flower park. It is also an outdoor museum.
It was a warm summer day so we decided to explore a little bit more. We were staying at Spa Topolšica. Gardens of Mozirski Gaj are just half an hour away from the spa. At first the weather was super great but then it started to rain very heavily so we decided to leave. We didn’t know that this gardens exist so we were very impressed and happy to visit the place. If there would be a chance, I would really like to go visit again so that I could see the rest of the park.
Looking forward to spring and summer..to warmer days…to explore more of our beautiful nature in Slovenia!
